Site Overview: chemistry.com is different to most lesbian dating sites. Dr Helen Fisher is the brains behind the Personality Profile, and also provides advice, articles and informational videos on the site. This site works by creating a Personality Profile for each user and assigning them a personality type, for example, Negotiator, Director etc. The registration process is lengthy and as well as the usual tick box questions, there are questions on subjects such as perception, emotions, and a slider scale for you to indicate how important certain characteristics are in a partner (for example, education level, smoking, children etc). Profiles can be transferred from match.com but the personality test will still need to be completed. The personal essay is compulsory and must be at least 200 characters long. A photograph is optional. Once registration is complete, Chemistry.com users will be sent 5 free matches each day, based on their personality type and other responses, as well as notification when someone is interested. Paid members will then be able to take part in the guided ‘1-2-3 Meet’ process, which consists of finding out what qualities are important to each other, asking each other short questions and then proceeding to email contact.
